nu erum vid komin i nattstad i annad sinn stadsett i 2850 mys. lentum i base camp i ger og heldum strax af stad. gengum i ca 5 klst i steikjandi hita. settum upp camp og fengum goda maltid og forum svo i hattinn. tad var ekkert of kalt kannski -10. vid voknudum svo kl 8.30 i morgun og eftir morgun verkin heldum vid af stad upp skihill i steikjandi hita. tetta var mikid pud med baedi bakpoka og sleda. eg atti erfidara med fyrri hlutann vegna vatnsskorts en nadi ad jafna mig vel og var hress restina af deginum. einn i hopnum gekk mjog naerri ser en er ad jafna sig. siggi var hress allan timann. vid haekkudum okkur um 600 m a 4 km. i kvold attum vid svo goda stund med hopnum.

Hi there,

We are located at 2850 meters above sea level (9400 feet) two days into the expedition. We arrived in the base camp yesterday and started right away, walked for about 5 hours in very warm weather. We did set up our camp and had a great dinner and went to bed. It wasn’t that cold, about -10 celcius. We woke up at 8.30 am this morning. After our morning routine we started climbing up skihill. It was very challenging with both our packback and sleds. I went through little difficulties during the first part of the day due to dehydration but was able to come around and was doing great for the remainder of the day. One member of our group became sick but is getting much better now. Siggi was doing great the whole time. We gained about 600 meters in 4 kilometers. Tonight we had a good time with our group.
